I’ve been using steam off and on since 2014 and have acquired well over 1300 game's. I’ve maybe played 10 percent of them and I’ve gone years without using steam at all. The steam deck is what brought me back here and now i can play games I bought over a decade ago on my couch.

I work hard at two jobs plus i have a family now which makes game playing the last thing on my list of priorities. I tend to jump from game to game often and only rarely see the credits roll. That’s ok though, as long as you’re having fun you can play games however you want, that’s my opinion anyway.

I’m a retro gamer at heart, I like indie games that try to look and play like old games but with better graphics. I also mod and repair retro consoles and handhelds as a side job. It doesn’t make me much money but it does help fund my personal gaming hobby a bit. I don’t make a ton of money and my family comes first of course so I never buy any new AAA games anymore, I wish I could sometimes but I have to do what’s right for the people I love so with that said it doesn’t bother me at all to wait until a game goes on sale before I buy it.

I am conservative which means you now either love me or hate me without even knowing the kind of person I am. For you lefties out there my wife is Puerto Rican so don’t worry I’m not racist…. lol, I just live by the “respect me, respect you” code which has always worked for me. I have never been the one to let skin color determine how I act around you or treat you as a person.

I don’t play multiplayer games anymore so please don’t ask. I used to play nothing but mp games back in the og xbox days and I had a lot of fun doing it. Got really good at trash talking and remember having the whole chat laughing their asses off on a daily basis. I just can’t tolerate the loud mouth kids anymore even though I used to be one myself I will leave the kids games for the kids. I like to play rpgs, side scrolling action platformers, metroidvanias, rougelikes and any retro styles games really.

Besides games I like to bbq outside, watch YouTube videos on retro gaming, mods, hacks, repairs etc. I’m in to tattoo's, spending time with my wife eating and watching Gordon Ramsay and his thousand different shows he has, messing with retro game hardware as I mentioned before, going to casinos maybe once or twice a year to handover my money to them and trying to find ways to save money so I can put my family in a nice home.

When it comes down to it I’m just an average guy that likes games, loves his family and just wants to be able to make them happy. I hope all of you out there are taking care of your families and are able to provide for them properly. Making enough money to buy a house is my dream right now so if you read this and don’t mind saying a prayer for my family I’d greatly appreciate that. I know that wishing for things for my family is maybe a little selfish of me but I do hope that all of you can achieve the same things I want to as well. I know I’m going off on a rant but I find it important to be real and honest with everyone, even if it’s here on steam.
