There is no good argument for getting the PSN account:

• By making a PSN account, you're giving information to Sony, a company well known for data breaches.[firewalltimes.com] P.S. : If your're from UK, you'll need to submit your ID to make an account. So if you thought you could make a throwaway account, make sure you can get a fake ID too
  
• The security reasons they've mentioned means nothing to the individual, as it is a means to ban you. You are now not only following Steam's ToS, you are also no obligated to follow an even more stricter ToS from Sony which more often than not restrict you from speaking freely or even certain actions that the game comes with.
  
• The creation of a PSN account is not even available to over a 100 countries[www.playstation.com], so if you bought the game where it was OPTIONAL to play the game without it you're ♥♥♥♥ out of luck.
  
• And don't even think of using a VPN, as Sony enforces a rule where by using it, you have a chance of getting banned. [http//%3D+https]

All this just to play one (1) game.

EDIT : It took me, from start to finish, about 168 HOURS to get the frame I was referring to (Wisp). Do with this information as you will
