The perfect game for people who find Battlefield too arcade and Squad/Post Scriptum too Milsim.

A healthy degree of realism combined with fairly fluid movement, and access to more automatic weapons than you'd normally see make this game much more accessible and approachable to many. Has a fairly low bar for entry in terms of skill but has the option to dive into the meta gameplay and enjoy the game at a much deeper level.

I do recommend watching some tutorials on the more specialised classes before playing them as they can be crucial to a games success, and using them "inappropriately" could be severally detrimental to your team.

Overall a great game I completely recommend.

Its not without cons however. There is no in game tutorial, this is the most needed feature for this game and the fact it still has none is beyond annoying. Performance isn't the best, its gotten better recently, however it still has the occasional hick up or stutter with needing to get into config files to do some slight tweaking to get consistent performance. Talking and communication in servers has gotten worse overtime as the game has grown, however you can find it still and you'll find there are certain servers that accumulate the better players.

PLAY THE GAME.

Having purchased the game on sale I thought my Value to fun ratio would be greater...it wasn't. The gameplay itself is the same as Far Cry 5, not much has changed outside of the weapons/crafting system as well as a rather interesting colour palate, these aren't bad changes either.

The real issue I have is the story, in a story driven game you'd expect the story to be at least slightly enjoyable, sadly it and characters are boring and empty. It really is unenjoyable and almost numbing to walk through this dead environment (aside from the vibrant colour)

I really enjoyed Far Cry 5, its a shame New Dawn doesn't reach anywhere near the same level of story telling.

Decide to try and hold of the Fascist Juggernaut as Greece. Build up a respectable military to hold the boarder, War begins and I wait for Germany to roll up Yugoslavia. theenemyhasarrived.jpg. I hold the boarder and wait for British reinforcements. Italy Lands troops in the south. I have nothing to stop them. Italy Annexes me in 4 days. 12/10 would waste an hour preparing for failure again.

EDIT: People seem to have actually seen my review so I may as well post some useful information in it.

Pros-
-Almost unlimited replayability (Almost everything you can think of doing is possible, Fascist America is always fun. Making Sweden conquer all of Europe is equally fun.)
-Learning curve is brutal and unforgiving but is very rewarding to master.
-Fun to play with friends online. (You can create some truely strange situations with the help of friends, my Estonian Baltic Empire for example, having taken most of Northern Europe and Scandinavia.)

Cons-
-Its a reasource hog in the later parts of the game, once millions of men are being deployed across the globe. Say goodbye to your RAM.
-Rather bland research trees. There is tonnes to research and different nations have different units and weapons to research but in the end its all just numbers and stats, all the nations are essentially the same.
-Can be bug riddled depending on if you buy DLC or not, Patches are contained within the DLC so if you want to get a better, more stable game you need to buy DLC.

This game does require a lot of time to learn all the mechanics and systems but (personally) is highly rewarding once you do so. If you can't be bothered to do that, there are plenty of cheats in the game to enable you to do some completely insane stuff (I personally took over the world as New Zealand) All in all, its a great game, not much else like it on the market other than other Paradox games, which I would highly recommend as well.
