thanks
Will this eventually lead to german customers having even less on the store (generated AO rating) or could this eventually lead to a proper age verification so that adults are allowed to buy games instead of being greeted with censorship/ block of sales on games? Probably not, maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part.
It would help to have examples of games that fit into each category, like the previous "violence" and "sexual content" classifications did. I don't know which version of "the game contains violence" is correct for my game (if I had to describe it, I'd say it's a slightly less clown-y version of TF2's violence level).
Does this mean that a good portion of the games in the store will just be unbuyable for Germans like it is the case now for Brasileiros?
Sounds like a step backwards honestly. More forced censorship and less players being able to enjoy GAMES. That's all they are.
Ready. Good thing I just have one game and its demo yet :)

By the way. Why demo has a separate survey at all?
"A few"? This is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of new questions. I will not be filling out this survey.
Steam should do a serious age verification for such games, or accounts, and not just censoring them in some of the stores/countrys. So they could do the verification and not just getting blocked from sales.
They don't want to be anti-privacy and ask for your passport or other documents. So blame your governments for unreasonably intrusive anti-privacy demands. Valve has always been pro-privacy where it's legally possible.

That's already the case; has been for years now. Hell, i literally can't access the store page of the game i'm working on.
It's just much easier for Valve to geoblock entire countries than put money and effort into implementing a functioning age verification. And fanboys will just defend it, because it doesn't affect them..
It would be nice if Steam supported IARC ratings like NIntendo and Play Store do.
