Any plans to incorporate custom skins into the new UI?
Noticed the skin selection was removed in the new UI beta (which totally makes sense with the new UI changes)... I was just curious if there are plans to bring back custom skin support utilizing the new UI.

And if so, will there be proper documentation on developing custom themes?

Very low chance and absolutely not.

They've been killing the ability to skin Steam for years and doubt it will get any better.

it's a real shame. custom skin support was really one of the better features of the client... even if it was always a half-finished feature that lacked documentation and support.

I'm assuming the SteamFriendsPatcher[github.com] project would allow for custom theme support with the new UI... but I've yet to test it.

Edit:
It looks like the project was updated to allow for custom themes via CSS in the new beta UI!!!

It was one of my favorite parts of Steam, but if anything they could add them into the points shop.

No. And in this case is good. It is easer to maintain code and optimise it.

Charging for skins would be a huge bummer for anyone displeased with the latest updates.

"Everything's become a heckin' browser, and now I gotta pay for themes? No way!!"

At least if there were a few free themes to choose from, as has been the case with profiles, it'd be nice.

Cheers, time to mess around with this
People will find a way no matter what changes Valve makes.
