well, they certainly weren't faked. the ones he shared anyways. he shared me his screen and shown me the proof on video. not screenshots or anything. the actual chatlogs he saved in the group the phisher made before the guy left. If there's anyway someone can even fake that, im on the side of Chef here. plus, the phisher is still active on steam as of this point, clearly nothing was done even after i nor Chef reported him. its almost comedical, how the one person who brings up the mis doings of the other person, not even telling people to report him or anything just to steer clear of the guy, was the one who got banned. i have a feeling the elites on steam are somehow to blame.

I don't have a doubt that it did happen, there are far too many scams, etc that happens every day on Steam. That was not the point, the entire point was pointing out the rules (which he broke and had a crash out over).

Screenshots are not taken as proof as mentioned to him as they can be faked which is why you use the report function. Valve has the logs being chats, uploads, and even deleted messages, etc. But weather or not they get around to the report let alone do anything about it is an entirely different matter as I have had major issues with support too as everyone.

and i've reported and sent steam support the images and messages he sent me proving he tried phishing me. all of it to lead up to nothing. steam just only responded in email with a message that is most likely botted practically saying that no further action was taken.

i mean, the guy wasn't all that wrong. the same guy he was talking about tried doing the same method of phishing me, and i almost fell for it. his account is still up and possibly doing it to others. steam has done nothing about it.

I'm not an admin / mod for that group so I would have no clue, but it was more than likely not do to the "name and shame thread" he made but the harassment against me, if I had to guess.
