It’s that time of the week again!

This week's North American Survivors: POW goes to dustinandband.

This guy may change his name and avatar a lot but you can always tell it’s him from his mad ‘b hops’ and exceptional aim. When dustinandband isn’t helping me break my times in L4D2 survival he’s studying a demo recording , practicing with others, or helping a friend in a versus game. He introduced me to a couple really strong players as well, I’m sure he’s going to help them better many NAS times and in time some world records too.

I’m pretty sure dustinandband has all his 20’s in L4D2, yet he hasn’t even brought it to anyone’s attention. Humble and wise the great dustinandband is an honorable teammate. I really wish Dustin would get a mic and coordinate with us vocally ingame because I know he can offer a lot. By the way if anyone has noticed a lot of people have been changing their avatar to a similar picture of ours. ATL4D stands for our Youtube channel ‘All Things L4D’ we are working on it and hopefully you guys can check it out when you have time. Alright I’m going to let my good friend mjhpark take it from here.

Dustin is committed to excellence in his survival rounds, always improving himself as a player, and is team-oriented.

I've known dustin for over three years now. We first met on Atrium pub, and for almost a year we’d occasionally just come across him on pub without actually having added each other as friends. It was funny because I would remember when I saw his name on the loading screen, I thought “siiick, a good player.” We were both around 50 minutes at the time.

I don’t remember who added first but gradually over the shared interest of atrium, we played many games together. From laps to saferoom hold, to classic bridge hold, 2nd floor hold, 2 hold 2 lap, 2 lap clockwise 2 lap counter clockwise, hold kiosk, hold tables, hold car, closet hold, every ridiculous thing you can imagine. These were memorable because he was totally serious and analytical about the details. We had many hours of discussion over strategies, team formations and responsibilities, tank pathing, hit boxes and lerp settings, everything to improve one’s gameplay. We even went further to analyze how lifestyle and culture affects one’s gameplay.

Dustin’s still very analytical about everything, so if you want to strike up a chat about a strategy, he’s always interested in one. He’s pursuant in developing himself as a player, and I see that he just gets better and better every time I see his gameplay.

Fun fact: dustinandband enjoys good rap music, clearing all stuck special infected in survival, and making my life hell when he joins the opposite team in my versus games.
