Yesterday, on September 14th the Flipsid3 Tactics Crossfire team competed in the WCA 2015 European World Qualifier. The event was broadcaster live by Mohammed ‘RunOnFlat’ Danyaal and Lars ‘LrN’ Meigies from the Freaks 4U gaming studio in Berlin.

On day one the upper bracket was played out with Flipsid3 Tactics playing against Publiclir and Team Absolute in best of three matches. Flipsid3 Tactics took both games decisively with 2:0 scorelines securing their spot in the finals of the World Cyber Arena Europe Pro Qualifier.

By making it to the finals the Flipsid3 Tactics Crossfire team has already guaranteed themselves a spot in the WCA LAN tournament in Yinchuan, China. On Thursday, September 17th they will compete against the winner of the lower bracket played today for a $30,000 grand prize. The loser of that game will take home $12,000 but also be invited to compete in China.

The WCA LAN tournament will be held sometime during December in Yinchuan, China and feature a 3.9 million dollar prize pool across seven titles. Over 3,200 players from more than 21 countries will compete in what is sure to be an exciting event. Unfortunately no other information regarding the tournament format or further information has been released by WCA as of yet.
