I’m glad to see that you’re revisiting existing mechanics as well as expanding the mid-game stage. I really hope this won’t be just one of a few updates. What worries me a little is the pace of development compared to how much content has so far come from mods, and how much has been delivered originally by you as the developers (here I’d like to point to the “roadmap” you announced after the game’s release and first success).

That said, thank you very much, and I truly hope that even after the release of the last planned biome you’ll keep expanding and tweaking the game with small updates like this one.

I’d even go as far as to imagine a future expansion — something like forgotten lands beyond the edges of the current map, shaped as oval islands ranging from idyllic realms to challenge-filled zones with new monsters and bosses. And maybe, at the very end, some kind of divine circular arena where we can fight all previously defeated bosses at once? That would make for a beautiful endgame, whether for farming trophies or testing ourselves solo or with friends.

I’m also looking forward to more updates featuring unique dungeons to explore.

And please, the system of finding and owning items really needs more uniqueness. Yes, there’s a good amount of content and an equipment upgrade system, but the game is missing that extra spark. It’s almost begging for something like rune enchanting, with different bonuses depending on the direction we want to take our character. Runes could drop from monsters or bosses, or some weaker ones could be found in world chests — especially since opening chests in the current game loses its sense of fun after a certain point. Maybe even forgotten graves of fallen warriors, with buried chests or skeletons of once-wandering Vikings carrying runes with them.

Items upgraded with runes could glow faintly or emit subtle star-like dust effects.

I hope that one way or another, you’ll keep developing the game to the point where I’ll always be excited to return to it — just like I am now, or even more so.

Many cheaters flaunt expensive inventories—knives, gloves, rare stickers—not just for status, but to mask their behavior. These accounts often open cases aggressively, driving revenue for Valve. If banned en masse, their inventories could flood the market, causing a price crash in high-tier items.

By banning only a fraction of cheaters, Valve may be controlling supply: banned accounts lose access to their inventories, this removes items from circulation, creating scarcity. Scarcity drives prices up, which benefits Valve through increased case openings and trading volume.

Temporary bans or cooldowns serve as a pressure valve: they discourage blatant cheating without triggering mass inventory liquidation. This keeps cheaters in the ecosystem—spending, trading, and opening cases—without destabilizing the market.

Players are kept in a state of hopeful frustration: “Maybe next update will fix it.”, “Maybe this cheater will get banned.”. This emotional tension keeps players engaged, spending, and returning—despite the toxicity.

When cheating becomes endemic, players lower expectations. Valve avoids accountability by making cheating feel like a community problem rather than a systemic one.

Reddit discussions highlight accounts with tens of thousands of euros in inventory still active despite known cheating. Players report that bans are slow or absent, even with overwhelming evidence. Ban waves do happen—but often feel like market resets, not justice.

Possible solutions include inventory freeze before ban, transparent ban metrics, third-party watchlists, and reputation-based matchmaking.

Valve’s silence and opacity leave room for speculation—but the patterns are hard to ignore. The cheating problem may not be a technical failure, but a strategic compromise: tolerating a certain level of cheating to keep the market profitable and the player base emotionally invested.

There’s a compelling economic logic behind the idea that Valve may be managing cheating rather than eliminating it outright.
Thank you for your AI-generated input but no one's reading all that.
