They could have waited until at least VS 1.5 to launch SE2. At the launch of SE2, it was hardly a game at all. Calling it EA Alpha is kind of disingenuous on it's own. An Alpha implies that there are things to do, which there hardly are. Creative building with limited blocks and destruction physics will not hold down a playerbase, and the Steam charts prove that. Also, you can't hide every fault as an Alpha problem either. Ex: Doors. Is it my fault for purchaseing SE2 with doors that at launch did not work, much less have the door part? Like, ok I bought a non-finshed game, but that does not excuse obvious flaws. And I am sorry, but criticism is allowed. Can't really even call it constructive because when it's this low, there ain't no constructive criticism. But, it could be worse. It could be Mindseye quality of bad.

You missed the main thrust of my comment. I don't argue that it may be too early for you and some others, maybe many. However, it is not too early for many other players who have enjoyed their time in the game since its release. So, does it being too early for you, when you can just opt to not buy, mean that those who it isn't too early for miss out?

Whether it was released too early is a subjective opinion. You are not wrong for thinking the game was released before it held enough content for you; no player is wrong for thinking that. The problem is in thinking that your opinion should A) guide a company in its decisions, and B) remove choices for others.

I'd also like to state that many comments make a big deal out of Steam player numbers. This is an irrelevant point. A title made available for purchase this early in development is never expected to hold player numbers. That isn't the point of a release like this. This release provides a means of capital injection, an ability for players to test and provide feedback, and an opportunity for testing over extremely varied hardware, and other upsides. Smashing commercial sales numbers and concurrent player numbers are not expected. We will see the normal ups and downs as new features are released and players test, explore, comment, and then move on until the next update. Heck, this happens with SE1 even all these years after release.
