i don't understand, we are playing two different games or what? on my ng+ they took off freaking everything, just like in the 1st game. why is all of this is kept for you?

Glad you made the changes. You're not making and selling the game for yourself. You have a playerbase to please just like any other business owner who needs to please their customers on this planet.
Also I don't think it's a big deal to make the game easier and see what players think.
If it's too easy, the grand majority of players will let you know. There is always a chance to adjust things in case you made it too easy or in case it's still too difficult.
There are many difficulty settings so it's probably not a one-and-done thing to have the difficulties of each area properly adjusted.
