There is such a thing as a deterrent. If nothing else, it would remove the incentive for all those people who want to flex their top-100 rank if they got ripbozo'd as soon as they got there.
If Valve wanted to twist the knife, so-to-speak, they could just flag them and let them waste time chasing that top-100, only to immediately ban them when they were supposed to get their name on the leaderboard. How many times would a person go through that before they started feeling like a fool?
Calling it a "useless virtuesignal" seems a bit disingenuous, in my opinion.

It's not going to be a deterrant to all the other cheaters though.
and I disagree with you about it being useless virtuesignaling, because if you put the resources to continously scour the leaderboard, you take that resource away from making a proper impact on a larger scale.
You want to fish for small clownfish in a sea full of whales. I'd prefer if we focus on the whales.

Let's say Valve was very public about it. Why would it not be a deterrent to other cheaters?
You call them "small clownfish", but the ones who get to the top-100 are arguably the "great whites".
You say overwatch is open to trusted partner, so why not have them prioritize the top-200?
Again, it seems disingenuous, in my opinion.

The wholesale stores are great, but I agree that a change needs to be made to them. I think there are two solutions to this, which could be implemented together:

First, we need a Van or a something like a U-Haul truck. Something with a LOT of storage space, so you don't have to make multiple trips. After purchasing so many licenses, not even the Pickup Truck has enough space to make room for all the stuff you need to get, especially at Deli/Grocery.

Second, I think we should be able to use the computer to order things from the Wholesale stores. The catch is, you have to physically drive to the store to pick up your order, unlike the tablet. This way, the steep discount is still justified as you still have to work for it without it taking an absurd amount of time.

Speaking of the tablet, the wholesale stores render that thing almost completely useless once you have the truck. Why would you use it when you can go to the Wholesale Stores and get everything at a MUCH cheaper price? The only use I have for it is to make a list of what I need so I don't forget when I'm at the Wholesale Stores.

Also, yeah, the Online Orders mechanic needs to be thrown right out the window, in my opinion. It's not fun. It doesn't give a lot of benefit. It costs too much gas. And, it's just overall annoying.

An idea like that could work, but it definitely hinges on two points that BHVR would have to address;

1.) Change the appearance of the throwing knives.
Although they don't do it often (i.e. Houndmaster,) BHVR would have to adjust the appearance of the Killer's power. Negan throwing RGB knives made of old CDs just seems odd. Whether it's glass shards or makeshift shivs they would need something that aesthetically fits TWD.

2.) Get Jeffery Dean Morgan to voice.
Let's be honest, atleast 80% of Negan's appeal comes from the way JDM portrays him. Trickster is also a more vocal killer, so there would be quite a few chances for Negan's Sardonic Wit to shine.

I LOVE this, but are we also getting more to explore, and maybe more main storyline? What I've seen so far has me REALLY intrigued!

That would come from the latin word "alienus", which roughly translates to "of another, belonging to another, not one's own, foreign, strange".

Dehumanisation has literally nothing to do with it, since the word wasn't used in the science fiction sense of belonging to another planet or another race until the 50s and foreign immigrants, both legal and illegal, have been called aliens long before that.

Both the Alien Friends Act and the Alien Enemies Act were signed back in 1798, just to put a bit of much needed perspective in this.
