Which is why I don't take her out that often anymore, I take my sniper 'cos Strike Zone and JTAC are so good I find it hard to do without them.
Are you...just writing off most digital loot?

That's a way bigger difficulty increase than running missions with a hacker you need to carry. Digital loot is a huge source of blueprints and contact influence and a significant source of money.

Killing enemies isn't really hard, but there's literally nothing that can be done to compensate for picking up less loot per Power Level.

No, I'm not, I'm just seriously conflicted over it. I see this as the most difficult problem in the game. I really, really want to have my Hacker on missions (for exactly the reasons you say, plus occasionally very useful security device hacking) but the gap between the combat effectiveness of my Sniper and my Hacker is so huge I (mostly) just can't do it.

Probably this has to do with this being my fist game and I therefore have difficulty in being able to make fine judgements as to when it's OK to run a hacker and when not, so I lean on the side of caution I guess.

It's also probably because as far as my CK, Vanguard and Soldier are concerned, having learned to play with them I cannot leave home without them. They all have abilities that seem to me to be irreplaceable.

So it's just one slot available for any other of the other classes. And although I haven't tried playing a Warmaster, Scourge or Agent Ex I've watched Phreak's class summaries and I can't see that any of them have got anything close to what the Sniper brings to the party with Strike Zone and JTAC.

The problem is I can't see a way to make Hackers strong enough in combat to justify their place on a regular mission without seriously compromising their core responsibilities. If one had more information about the specifics of missions before launching them (or more experience than me in making accurate guesses) it would make a big differences.
