I get why you're skeptical — it sounds crazy. But I had Steam Guard, phone, and email 2FA active, yet someone still accessed my account and cheated.

Steam confirmed suspicious activity, and I’ve since formatted my PC and secured everything. I’ve had this account for years — I wouldn’t throw it away to cheat once.

I’m not asking for special treatment, just a fair chance to prove it wasn’t me. Zero-tolerance shouldn’t ignore clear signs of a hack.

I built my base with a 3 way tunnel system where I've allowed total public access for shelter or transit. As well a open landing area on the roof in case players need a quick safe haven. In the first week of this base build, I found a player parking derelict sand-bikes at my entrance doors.

I couldn't understand why he was putting them there, until I got a friend to help assess what was going on, well it turned out I hadn't set up the door for public access due to being new at the game.

well since then, I've made the proper corrections and have insured safe travels for everyone. Yet, he still drops by and puts a sand-bike at all the doors. He removes the tread so they are unmovable.

I've tried repairing the tread to no avail and then pulling NPC's to destroy the bikes via a volley of fire. Prior to that I would claim ownership of the surrounding bikes so he couldn't use them but that was limiting my own pool of allowable resources.

Nothing works, my only recourse is to let this player continue with their griefing insanity or relocate my base. This is my 2nd base and I'm only level 98, I am aware that I will most likely move again or find a better area but I'm quite nostalgic about this spot.

I've since wrote a ticket to complain and they said there's nothing they can do at the moment. I find this crazy that someone has made my base a graveyard for sand-bikes, lol.

I've dealt with this for over a month, hoping the player would stop once he saw I made the appropriate corrections but sadly that's not the case. I caught him today in the act and he ran away very quickly.

Any advice is welcome, I realise there's most likely no current solution but I wanted to share some of the dumb things people do to gate keep newb players.

ty. i assume i double the drinking water collectors if i have high thirst negative trait? i have 5 collectors on the side overhang that overlooks where the kitchen is inside. what would happen if i put collectors on that central ridge 1 floor up? can those be plumbed to the 1st floor from that high up? i've never used a preexisting building with a sloped roof before. mostly used the larger industrial buildings with flat roofs.

It's ideal to put water barrels for drinking and washing one floor above a sink or washer. You don't have to filter or boil the water that way and for washing it's way more convenient.
I have high thirst as well and my character doesn't need more than two barrels still. Could probably put in a third to be safe.
If your drinking water barrels are ground level, make sure to boil the water in game before drinking it. Water purification tablets work too but good luck finding enough of those :3

You need a pipe wrench if you wanna plumb a collector barrel into a sink. And the tarps are better to use than black back cuz you don't need as many of 'em. Personally I like the look of tarp collectors anyways. :3 Bon appetite!

Edit: It's also worth putting in an extra drinking collector barrel if you like giving your character a lot of straight coffee since they have a huge impact of thirst.

I have a RTX 4090 and @5120x1440 getting 200 fps ultra everything. Your rig either has an ancient cpu or has driver problems.

Its FG on, dont lie, also there were a lot of micro stuttering, make a video with settings on and gameplay
