You're right, the game was not tailored to me, and i'm not pretending that.
Sorry if i gave you this impression, english is not my mother tongue i may have used the wrong expressions.

Your personal interest in mechanics made you install a mod to enhance this specific aspect of this game and, in my opinion, this is exactly what mods are for.
I also did use a few mods in the past versions and probably will in the future in this one too.

Still, again, to me it is odd that the gas tank installed in a vehicle outlasts its lifespan, hence my opinion that this feature is not working as intended and the publisher should look into it.

I've already reported this. Can confirm - you must leave and come back in (if it's a server). Cannot confirm if that fixes it in singleplayer. Then you will receive the buff out of nowhere.
You may need to get re-infected and cure it again for it to proc finally.
