Hey!! If I'm not wrong, to get the "Flowers" achievement, you have to date Singh with Edwin as the killer. Once you have the last date, you have to choose to got at the restaurant (not the stargazing one). After the date, you have to choose "Intervene" then you'll get the achievement at the end.

It is hard to believe 10 million people would repopulate and start over again with the same Republican/Democratic debates. It is too simplistic of a story to me and isn't very interesting. Look at even the story of WWIII had on the world of Star Trek. It led to all sorts of factions. The psychology of loosing an entire planet was never explored in this game.

Again, Sci-Fi fans, think of all the unique cultures of the worlds. Do you think the entire population would be made of two factions and a religious group?

Really the reason to do slavery is because people want to role play it or have the challenge of managing a slaver colony/religion. There's very little actual benefit to it overall since you have to jump through a bunch of hoops to make it work. Slaves also can't be useful in combat since you can't give them weapons.

A lot of the ideologies are basically a massive debuff designed to offer an additional challenge to overcome.

Unfortunately game is quite broken indeed.

I do not think it is necessarily issue with libraries, but some bug in the game, that shows more often on modern hardware (i.e. with more cores or newer kernel).

I did try to debug this, I was able to get start screen (sometimes), but after pressing anything, it crashes, either segfault, or some assert.

Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions are broken. I tried setting OpenGL compat profiles in Mesa, removing / replacing some .so files, disabling steam overlay, steam api, steam input api, etc, to not much success.

Not just pay twice, you need two different service accounts to use Steam and Windows. Edge case is trial versions. You can switch from Windows to Steam from Trial to Paid, that's the only exception AFAIK.

Two accounts mean paying for each, meaning twice. Or is "two" not "twice"? XD I never heard you can switch from trial to paid for different version/platform. I certainly could not, had to buy off Steam, make account that is different from Steam, and buy stuff again.
