Too many indies.
I don't mind indies at all but I'm really starting to feel that Steam has become indie central. It's getting annoying. Their new week long sales are just indie.

The truth about indies, there are a few gems, but for the most part, they're junk.

I'm glad we get to decide for ourselves what's junk, and what isn't—not them.
Seriously? My Greenlight favorites/voting list contains quite a few indie titles that come nowhere close to being junk. Besides, do you even know what the word 'indie' means? It means the developer is a small group of people (or in some cases, one person) that doesn't have the budget of Capcom or EA to develop their software; it has nothing to do with game quality. Some of the best games were developed on a shoestring budget.

If one amazing indie come's out after 10 bad one's then im ok with the influx of them all. IE BROFORCE!!!!
If they were to limit their acessibility to smaller Studios, the selection of games on Steam would be much smaller and nobody would like that.
AAA titles have just as much chance at being "junk." It's tiresome hearing this ridiculous elitist argument over and over. People don't all have the same tastes. Indie companies often are better than bigger ones simply because they actually put some heart into their work and care about the games they make rather than viewing them as nothing more than cash cows they can turn into a yearly grind of new versions. There are plenty of amazing, beautiful indie games on here if you would just look around and find them. Sure, there are some stinkers, but there are big name stinkers too. Big money publishing does not guarantee an awesome game.
Publishers decide what games go on sale, when they go on sale, and for how much percent off. An indie game on the week long deals does not mean it is preventing a AAA or big name title. This weeks selection may feature more indies than normal because we just came off the summer sale where thousands of games were on sale for 10 days. So you can probably relate to puvlishers not wanting their titles on sale for an additional 7 days.
Just need to dig if you want to find pearls in a pile of s...
56 of the the 86 "coming soon" titles are "indie". There ARE some gems out there, and I'm glad there's a place for them, but it would be nice if indie games could be filtered a bit.
You know 'less' indie games does not equal 'more' AAA games, right?
This is not a zero-sum operation where a indie title is taking the place of a big budget one.
maybe because AAA gaming sucks. seriously. i have way more fun with indie gaming than i do AAA gaming anymore. AAA gaming just tends to focus so much on things that i just dont care about - all for the very reason of more access to players wallets. while you can say that indie games need quality control, well so does AAA.

They should make a seperate tab on the front page for indie and early access. None of that stuff should be advertised on the store's front page, imo.
no no.. i think AAA needs to go in its own tab... i mean come on Indie rules over it :D:

Over all i think saying that Indie is less then AAA will never happen on Steam as well as it dose not need to happen..
Steam was basically something that treat Indie and AAA titles the same.. that i think is great.. just like Steam will not give a better support if you spend more or less.. or if you spend so on In-Game items or on Cards..
Why are they annoying if they don't force you to buy anything?

Sturgeon's Law, my friend. "Ninety percent of everything is crap."
6months old, still no one cares about such crappy opinions.
