One profile was in Norway and the other was Riyadh, SA
If you're on Windows, you do a "Control (Key) + "U" Key and view the page sources, it's likely some external jscript embedded link or something.
Wondered about user time zone, but if it's not displaying local time, an editing bot would be my guess too.
Having JS leak would be terrible.
Makes it border more towards an actual suggestion for profiles to change dynamically with time, but then maybe some people don't want to disclose what the time is where they live for some reason. Minute by minute traffic could also be heavy for every profile, I imagine.
Why? What use it a clock to the visitor of the profile or what information about the user could be gained by it?
I did find some nice clocks in Wallpaper Engine, a definite far cry and off-topic from a clock on a Steam profile, bu I found some nice clocks that have a highlighted day of the week.
What would be more interesting, would include a date format and even a countdown to the next big Steam sale.
Even more, a live milliseconds and seconds counter :D

It's cool to be a trendsetter now and then.
To watch others herd and "moo" to my path.
Plus, I don't know, call me shallow but I'd like to show off my local time zone :D
If there was one thing I liked about the Vista OS, that was the desktop gadgets
I don't know why, but I liked the Weather Channel Gadget, to implement a Weather Channel Gadget into my Steam profile would be...
