if they add a game to the bundle, you can just buy the bundle again for this single game to get the bundle discount.
Not any longer. The old one was a package that was a single license and everything added under that license, you also "owned" then.
The new one is a bundle and ties the game licenses directly to your account. You also no longer get double items from it.
3 years laters we got bundles and Valve mostly removed all packages for their games of the store pages.
well, you never know since Valve does not need their own games to make money, but i would not get my hopes any high up.
1) I have an old version of the Tomb Raider pack, which never got anything added to it
2) My Serious Sam Complete package, on the other hand, had something added later on. Not a major title, IIRC, but they added something.
I expected 1), and was pleasantly surprised by 2)
Valve did make this promise in the email they sent out to steam link purchasers, i still have my email, here's the exact line in the email:
"We've added the Valve Complete Pack to your Steam account as a gift from Valve. This will give you all of Valve's games (past, present and future) free of charge. You can still choose to refund your Steam Controller and/or Steam Link (refund instructions below), but the Valve games are yours to keep."
That is a completely different thing. The current Valve pack will be removed when more Valve titles are released and a new one will take its place. They've done this a couple times.
