What do you use to listen to music while playing games?
What PC client do you use to listen to music while playing games? I ask becouse I want to do this, but I don't want to just open up Groove Music, Amazon MP3, iTunes, etc. if they take away a bunch of ram/memory. (with 8GB of RAM i don't need to waste a lot on music) I prefer not to have a web page left open, and I already own the music so nothing like spotify would be of use

Edit: I use it for mainly CS:GO deathmatch, and Overwatch. Single player games I usually use the in-game music to keep the intended atmosphere

Spotify can play tracks you have on your hard drive just fine. I don't know if you need to be a premium user, but it can.

I know it can; however if you add a song and for some reason it can't find it when it could before, it will just stream it from it's library and play ads in your playlist, despite you actually owning the song.

Steam client/overlay can play music from your drive too, and is loaded anyway when playing games.

I know but it's not the nicest or smoothest overlay when it comes to my music.

I typically use spotify most of the time, if I want to listen to a podcast or something of the sorts I use soundcloud.

i use musicbee, the successor to winamp. Seems to be using 25mb ram while playing.

With 8GB of ram, you should have enough for any music player, have websites open and playing the game. I was doing so just fine with only 8GB. Only reason I upgraded was for video editing and coding.

I've been using spotify or windows media player for music when playing, with no performance issues.

I usually just use the default Steam music player. But I don't use it a lot, Undertale has great music already and silence helps to hear Spies uncloak in TF2.

Wanna break the immersion of the game?
Yes, Other Barry, yes.

chrome is a big drain, in-game steam overlay web pages often crash when doing ANYTHING, even something as simple as faceit. Don't use firefox since chrome works so seemlessly at home and school (school dosen't have firefox).

I only use music as a very light background in dm in CS:GO, TF2, basically any non-serious shootem up or maybe a few other games.
