Banned from Marketplace for 15 days. Can i do anything?
Just realized i could sell my trading cards and use the money to buy more marketplace stuff. I entered a number to get authenticator. The phone i used then started acting up, so i removed authenticator to put a new number.

I am now banned for 15 days from doing any sort of purchases on marketplace because i removed the authenticator, though it was not sending me verification messages on mobile anymore. no idea why it wasn't but it just wouldn't. Now i'm sitting here with the money i gained from my cards and no way of accessing marketplace.

i tried re-enabling under a new number and it won't drop the suspension/ban. won't let me message support about it either.

anything i can do? i was looking forward to buying stuff on marketplace with more money during this summer sale. ._. now i'm sitting here with the whopping $0.79 i made on marketplace from selling cards and a ban all because the phone i used originally apparently didn't like steam authenticator messages.

It's not a "ban". You really never want an actual trade ban. That is very serious. This is a restriction.

Mobile Authenticator Removed

Removing a Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator reduces your account security. To help protect your items, you will be unable to trade or use the Community Market for 15 days. In the case your account was compromised, this cooldown gives you time to recover your account and reinstate your security without losing your items.

No support is needed for features that are working as intended. Support cannot modify these restrictions anyway.

Important:

Steam Support cannot modify trading or Community Market restrictions, regardless of the circumstances under which your account became restricted.

No one can remove or reduce a restriction once you trigger one.

circumventable security is no security.
so, no. 15 days.

Well you're not banned, banning implies that it's punitive. It's a restriction sure. The simple fact is the market has certain requirements and you just don't meet them and you'll have to wait.

You should really be asking yourself "why is this restrivtion here?"

You should obviously realise it's some form of security. And as such it would be wholly stupid to have any circumvention because that invalidates it.

What it is there for is to mitigate scammers and spammer from creating dummy accounts to do dodgy things.

So now you know.
