From USD to QR, prices of games are unbelievable!!!
So few days ago steam update came and now i will be using QR ( Qatari Riyal ) instead of USD

Which is 1$=3.8~ QR

i asked some of my friends to give me thier prices of games to see if im mistaken or not but nope

for me DMC (devil may cry 3) is worth 176 QR which is equal to almost 42$ ???

My friends who purchase games in different currancy even while they have taxes and we don't have taxes here are like this:
20 euro for DMC 3, 15.99 GB for DMC 3

this is an example for one game. here is a picture as well

The publishers are in charge of setting the new prices in the new currencies. Ask them why it is more/less.

There is the same in other countries

As I say there, you need to start a group up with your country Steam Users to get the prices to fit your country

Make sure to tell the publishers to raise the prices on ALL the games to be higher priced than any other country since Qatar is the richest country in the world.

they need to start to not just look at the handful of titles of AAA publishers.

every new currency lets them buy stuff on Steam cheaper then it was before, except israel and that is easily justifiable.

So or so the triple-A games may yet need to fix it then, that leaves the same comment to the same point
In any case can I know what is the "easily justifiable." if there is something I am missing I like to know

It COULD be an error... the other Dmc items are only 13% more, but 3 is nearly 130%.

DmC3 is +127.56%
DmC4 is +13.46%
DmC is +13.44%

Weirdly, it goes the other way too :-
CSGO is -41.56%
Fallout4 is -8.05%

many games have very high prices of double or triple the actual price.

And thx for the cheer up from those rich money jokes and other comments too, hope steam do something about this to be honest.

Maybe set the price to the cost of barrels of oil you sell to the USA . Imagine the cost then for you !!

Steam aren't going to do anything about it because Steam/Valve only set the prices here for their own games. Their recommended price for your currency which a lot of the smaller and medium sized publishers/developers might use seems to be around a discount of 40% (and some of the larger publishers seem to use that even - for example all Paradox titles seem to be around that level of discount in QR compared to US dollars).

If we look at steam prices, and look at currently discounted (and thus prices updated since the currency switch over) list, use US as our base region and QA to compare with:

https://www.steamprices.com/us/search/?preset=discount

Vagrant Hearts 1/2 31% cheaper in QR
Steamworld Dig 31% cheaper
Steamworld Dig 2 42% cheaper
This War of Mine 42% cheaper
Titan Quest 42% cheaper
Titan Quest Ragnarok 42% cheaper
Dead Space 42% cheaper
CK 2 47% cheaper
EU IV 47% cheaper
Last Heroes 1-4 22% cheaper
Endless Space 2 47% cheaper

And lots of other (even more) obscure titles, don't think there was a single one less than 20% cheaper, and plenty close to half price.

For the exceptions where the price has increased I guess the publishers will have to either sort it out, or lose sales here compared to other sites, or maybe to competitors products that are priced more competitively in your currency.
