Exodus Fleet Events

During my playthrough I keep seeing events pop up like 'food surplus: we have extra food, you can buy it cheap!' etc but I just can't seem to find out how I go about making a purchase like this? All I see when I click on the store button is the option to purchase technology and that's it. Can somebody please help me out? I feel like I'm missing a significant feature that could really make my current playthrough less difficult.

Only tech can be remotely purchased. For any physical good/crew, you have to either jump to the system that the Haven Fleet is currently in, or have them jump to you so they can dispatch a shuttle to your ship. There's a green icon in the top of the map screen. Click that and look at your options.

You're welcome. Keep in mind it takes a few turns for the Haven Fleet to make their jump. Sometimes they'll also jump around on their own if you travel far enough away from them.
