You get full refund only if you play the easy gamemods. We who play on Brutal, never get full refunds, not even a single full component, just scrap and often due to games buggy logistics we end up with losing devices even when simply moving them to other location.

So the return on deconstruction is based on your choice when starting the game - what dificulty you choose. Bon voyage mate.

Don't quote me on this, but I think deconstructing hull returns hull scrap instead of hull blocks. Not sure the ratio. Also, any construction/repair uses Tools, which require Infra Blocks. It's not a lot, but if you use your last Infra Block in a construction and don't get more for a bit you'll definitely notice.
