Forced HyperSleep
Is there a means via the Vanilla game to force prisoners into Hypersleep?

I don't see that as too far a stretch from what real crews would do, it would save substantially on resources and reduces the risk of having them roam freely in your ship.

You designate the area they can roam. As for resources let them only use the algea dispenser.

someone shoud tell him that the cryo chambers crunch on this tasty refined energium products....

Only when used during a hyperjump, isn't it ?

edit, nvm. they probably would in this scenario yes.
Sure you just need to sedate them first, have a crewmen, inject the prisoner with a sedative then pick them up and place them in cryo, no one seems to care not even the prisoner, works for infected refugees too if you just want to trade them out for the reward and not deal with the infection before handing them over.

they will remain in cryo till you let them out and still be sedated for a while even when you do, it only cost the one off use of the pod no matter how long you keep them on ice.

they will look a bit odd curled up in the pod initially but after you do one hyperjump or a reload they'll be stood up like anyone else.

I am aware of the cost to run the chambers. In end-game, regardless of difficulty, become rather trivial.

Thank you! I will try sedating my prisoners and placing them in the hypersleep chamber. In terms of 'realism' I don't see the need to sedate someone to... sedate them in a hypersleep chamber, I hope this is something they can implement in the future.

I actually just added the algae dispenser to their quarters after seeing it on Military base.

Thank you everyone.

If anything I'd say it adds realism, Prisoners won't willingly be stuffed in Cryo for who know how long, having to sedate them first seems a pretty reasonable approach to take,

Putting it that way does make it seem like a more realistic option. Hard to imagine anyone willingly going into cryosleep (However is always an option). Something that did have me curious, were the pods created by the bots (with yellow fluid) when a crew member is downed and left on their vessel.

Perhaps this is a suggestion/mod discussion, but presenting the option to 'persuade' a prisoner to enter cryosleep rather than having to sedate.

Anyways, thank you, the Sedate > Hypersleep option worked.
