All missable achievements?
Just wanna get this out of the way, I do not care about spoilers. If the achievement that is missable is a spoiler, just spoil it for me, I do not care. All I care about is knowing what achievements that are missable and exactly how to get them so I can get those out of the way and enjoy the game. These are the missable achievements I know of:
1. City Transporter
2. Sparing Master
3. A fairy tale ending

Are there any other missable achievements out there? If so, please tell me what they are and how to get them.

JVC was wrong, but there's no sense in slinging personal insults at anybody over it. People are wrong sometimes. If you've got the right answer, correct them and move on.

"When an achievement is only attainable at a single point in a game, it is considered a missable achievement. If a player has missed such an achievement, then he must replay the entire game in order to get it." -GiantBomb

My definition would be: "Any achievement that can be permanently missed, requiring a new game or reloaded earlier save in order to pick up."

Now that that's established, I am not aware of any missable achievements in My Time At Portia other than those originally listed by fatputtycat.

It is established that I took a ton of abuse in this thread from people demanding to be treated as authorities who hadn't played the game. You and others don't accept the experience I brought forward from playing the game 500+ hours, being a wiki editor and content moderator, answering questions here and on its discord and maintaining the wiki achievements page. Ok. That's your right. I on the other hand don't accept any of you as authorities either. That's my right.

And my point remains: for anyone that likes to collect 100% achievement scores, this game has great similarities with e.g. Europa Universalis 4. In any standard playthrough, you'll miss a ton of achievements. That can only be remedied by repeatedly jumping through very specific hoops.

People that go exclusively for 100% achievement runs should look elsewhere. I'm in the "always go for 100% achievements" category myself, but make a few exceptions, including this game.

you do not know what a missible achievement is.. please google it

we are all here trying to teach you and help you from your mistakes, and you are just slapping us in the face and saying we are all wrong lol.... learn to take knowledge from others when you dont have knowledge yourself

I am ... really sorry to reignite this thread, but the definition of missable aside - does anyone know if Pathea has plans to adjust these achievements so after you've completed the game and puttered around with your farm for a decade you can go back and still get them without starting a new game? Or maybe to implement multiple save files (unless I missed that somewhere already being a thing) so you can do some save scumming for it?

'Welcome to the Family' is another missable achievement. I didn't see that in your list of known missable achievements, I'm not sure if anyone else has mentioned it here yet but I didn't really care to read through all the posts since most of it is just people arguing over the definition of 'missable achievement' ...Lol

You need to pass the trials set by Ginger's family. You must be lovers/soulmates with Ginger and propose to her, she will ask that you seek the blessings of her family. She leaves later on in the game and that's why this can be missed. Credit of this info is not mine, source linked below.

If no-ones added the one about claiming ALL of the building work for the cars (City Transporter) - that can be missed and is hard to actually not miss - as other characters picking up the job can cause you not to be able to get it too.

So JVC is wrong only 4 achievements are MISSABLE in a single run as the game never ends and all but thous 4 are time/character based. So it took a long time to get the answer by Lion your the best
edit

Funny but somewhat disturbing thread.

I'll cast a more skeptical eye on the wiki if that guy's still editing it.
Melerickk Jul 16, 2020 @ 2:55pm
Guys, dont feed the troll and just stop to answer JVC.
Can't you see he's obviously trolling ? 3 times you guys told him what is a missable achievement and he keep to just get some nerd attention.

Also, everybody who hunt for achievement in games perfectly know what a missable achievement is.
And i'm, as well, here to know if i have to focus on something later.

I have actually 21hours on the game and just got the City Transporter.
And that's why i'm here :dswilsonscared:
I freaked out when i saw that there was an achievement that i could have missed if that idiot Higgins would have take a paper in the city Hall.

And i try to gather information to know what to focus on and keep in mind for later

Sorry, its just hard to let go once you see it (i`ve just read the discussion for the first time).

Good for you with City Transporter. I managed to miss it after reading some discussion and getting confused :steamsad:

If you never turn on the game, you can miss all of the achievements. Hope this answers your question OP.
By the way in case you were interested, I have played this many games for this many years, I know how to make a wiki article and write text, I have also responded to questions before. For that reason, please do not challenge anything I say with reasoning because you are a troll and my experience trumps logic. Thanks.:lunar2019piginablanket:

Hey guys, I feel like the thread has gotten a little of the rails.
Regardless of what the definition of "missable achievements" is, and who knows it more than others, simply offering up your own ideas of what is missable would contribute more to the thread than arguing about a definition or who's better at what. If you feel a listed achievement is not missable, you can try explaining how the achievement can be obtained, and let readers decide if it's missable or not. In any case, please avoid the flaming.

This thread is hilarious.
