Is it worth getting this game I'd Slay the Spire 2 is coming soon?

Kinda feel like getting into a deck building game and this one looks the best but with Slay the Spire 2 coming soon, is it worth learning this game and putting in the effort to get good?

Slay the Spire 2 might release soon after I buy this one.

Slay the Spire 1 is worth getting now because the sequel will be going through early access first. Play the polished and complete game that also costs cheaper than the new one.

^yeah, early access for StS 2 is coming soon, its not actually releasing for probably a couple years yet.

"Worth" is a question only you can answer for yourself. Depends on your budget, how long you're willing to wait, and if you want to play StS2 in Early Access or wait for the finished version.

All I can really tell you is that Spire 1 is a good game right now, and Spire 2 is an unknown.

Get Slay 1, we don't know if Slay 2 is even good yet. I tend to hate sequel$, but I am hopefully optimistic. Definitely worth it for me, but I already put in 700 hours. If you hate bug testing for free (early access) and prefer full games with huge mod support (if you're into that) - just enjoy Slay the Spire for now.

Well, it's definitely worth buying one OR the other. Dunno if both are worth it, yet.

I got this game, money well spent even thoguh I'll probably never get the sequal. I discovered after StP release, 7/8 of deckbuilding games made... just suck. It's not like a multiplayer game where you stop being able to get games out once 75% of the player base moves on.

Be advised, the game is very buggy and crashes constantly for some of us.
