Downfall is really good if you havent tried it. Yes its fan made, but the quality is right up there with the base game and you get a new character plus being able to play as the bad guys.

Or maybe the game is just a complete project? Not every game is made with dlc or sequels in mind. The dev is apparently working on other projects but they’re not StS related

TBH, I'm hoping it's something different, I want to see a new project. StS is just too good, I'm happy with this game as-is and I don't know if they can top it, the bar is too high that I feel a sequel would only disappoint.

I was actually thinking they might do a prequel, with the four new climbers being something like the Champ, the Collector, the Time Eater, and the Merchant, so we get to see their stories and how they got to be residents of the spire instead of slayers of it. Because I strongly suspect that's how those 4 characters started out. Also, it could show the backstory of various other characters and bosses of the spire and explain what happened to them. For example, where's the Giant Head's body, and what happened to it? What happened to the vampire master who the vial of blood relic came from? Who stabbed the Awakened One and put it down in the first place? Who killed Hexaghost, and was it part of a team with Deca and Donu before it died? Does the Merchant perhaps wear a mask because he traded his face to the Face Trader and didn't like what he got? And just how did Bear lose his lucky chip?
