Slay the Spire
The Goblin Spin wheel broken
I've never got anything but damage and I've got it 20 times in a row.

Reloading? Or in different runs?
Ok, looks like I should post this again:

The wheel results are determined by converting your user name into numbers (A = 1, B = 2, etc), averaging them, multiplying by the number of skills in your deck, modding (modulus) the result by 6, subtracting the number of curses in your deck, and then adding the number of blue slavers you've killed (escaping the fight with smoke bomb doesn't count).

Then, you use the following mapping for your result:
0 or below = curse
1 = damage
2 = gold
3 = heal
4 = card removal
5 or above = relic.

One more reason not to take curses. And why you tend to get better results in/after Act 2.

So, if you're taking a lot of curses and avoiding blue slavers, it's not unusual to get consistently bad results.

But real talk, you are just reloading the floor over and over, aren't you? Doing that will always give you the same result because the game is just using the same seeded value to determine the results of the event each time.
Real talk, I never reload...that's crazy. Ok, I have reloaded during a boss fight or two, but never for a spin wheel, because I'm a game dev and that just seemed...pointless.
Check my hours played and you'll see I have like 260 and just got the ascension 10 trophy.
I'm dead honest I have never got anything but damage. Maybe I'll change my name and see what happens. I didn't realize math was involved.
Actually, if that really is the formula, then any username that is itself 0 in modulus 6 after the conversion + average will remain 0 in modulus 6 after the multiplication by number of skills, meaning you have a permanent extreme bias towards curses and damage and making the relic effectively impossible to get unless you change your name.

And that is the case for one in six usernames, so it's not uncommon.

(But it also means I doubt that's really the formula. Seems incredibly unfair to have a factor vary by user in the daily.)

No, that was a joke, dude. It is determined by a seed value, so reloading doesn't change the results, but seed values are random between runs. The probability of getting the same result 20 times in a row is (1/6)^20 = time to go play the lottery.

Now I'm wondering how many people have a save file name that contains no letters.
Just happened again...FML.

Yeah yeah, that's what you want us to believe. You think i don't know the reverse psychology?

If you're joking, then how comes my ingame name is Max, which gives me an averaged value of 11.6, and modding 117 (rounded, i have about 10 skills each game) by 6 is 3, and if you substract it by 1 curse because i only ever have bane of the pro A20 ascender, i get 2, and i kill 1~2 slavers every games, so i get 3~4, cONSEQUENTLY, i always get heal or remove, or relic, damage and curses, but last game i got a heal when i was full, so i tried respinning the wheel 30 times that run and i only got a heal! What are the odds?! It's clearly not random, and that's the real datamined formula.

You didn't put the source of this math in either your original post or this more recent one. What is the source of this?

You have no idea what modulus means, do you?

Unrelated musings. Doesn't mean you weren't right.

Just because you're correct doesn't mean you're right.
