Insane The Silent luck & seed.
Seed: 3ENI60CA4X4PA
Note: that could be an uppercase 'o' instead of a zero, no way I know of to be sure.

Started out with the option to pick a rare card of my choice which, for me, handed me a Nightmare. I picked one of two routes that enabled me to get three fights followed by two events to start, picked up a Setup, which allows me to play Nightmare one turn later for free when the two cards show up together, and will enable other, similarly insane, combos later I'm sure.

One of the ? spaces gave me the sacrifice health for relic chance event, which eventually handed me the Mummified Hand relic. The other gave me the Banana Donut Box series, which I picked Donut. Another relic chance gave me the Mercury Hourglass, I believe this was from the treasure chest, and I avoided the Elite fight on the way there. The next ? space (after the campfire on the left fork) gave me the golden idol, and I sacrificed my Donut gain for it, followed by the final ? on area 1 giving me a treasure chest with the Unceasing Top!

I'm still somewhat new to this game, so I'm still having trouble nailing down my preferred methodology, but Mummified Hand plus Unceasing Top can be a potent force until you run into the third boss, and I know one of them just flat-out wrecks unceasing play while the other punishes power abuse, so...

First area boss appears to be the slime guy. Going to see what happens and give more details if more crazy stuff drops.

Not sure where this is insane? Nightmare and Setup in your deck early is absolutely godawful and almost a sure assurance that your deck will struggle early (and Setup usually isn't good later, either). Mummified Hand is great but not early, Top is kind of ehhhhh most of the time. Hourglass is fantastic for almost the whole game but it doesn't make a run on its own.

Setup can be upgraded to zero cost. A zero-energy card that makes another card that normally costs 3 cost nothing until you use it (at which point it exhausts and gives you three copies of a card of your choice) isn't a bad combo. Add in Slice, the zero-energy attack card that's easily upgraded to deal 8 damage for free, and you have four non-exhausting shivs in a deck for three cards. Setup doesn't exhaust, and can counteract the increasing cost of a card like Masterful Stab if you keep taking tiny chip damage. I had a boss battle where that card was unusable before it was drawn due to 1 damage slipping past my block a few times, so there's a good use right there.

Oh, and the first boss allowed me to get an Envenom card and a Wrist Blade artifact, meaning Slice+ will be dealing 11 damage baseline, possibly four of them in my deck per fight, likely all stacking poison on the enemy. Lizard Tail was another artifact option, meaning it's possible to gamble on a longer-term payoff over short-term attack bonuses.

Your process of experimenting with new toys is rather adorable because you're not yet aware that the things you described aren't all sunshine and rainbows. You might figure out why if you brought some fundamentals from similar games, so I'll wait n see.

Wow, it's really amazing how you've managed to make an engine that plays two skills (giving Gremlin Nob +4 strength) and takes three cards drawn on the correct turns with no way to set this up in act 1, all to add an extra 15 damage in one turn at minimum three turns into the fight.

Meanwhile I'll just play Dash+ and do 14 damage while blocking and then grab a card like Deadly Poison+ that does 28 damage for one card and one energy the first time it's played, and far more if played a second time while the enemy still has poison.
