Kill the first Boss. Open the Chest.
Snecko Eye, Coffee Dripper, Fusion Hammer.

Time to roll a new character.

You mean Philospher's stone, cursed bell and white statue?

Those three are all widely viable.

Philosopher's stone is as free energy as the sozu, and cursed bell can be mitigated in a decent run. Snecko Eye is definitely not viable.

Personally i hate the velvet choker. Runic dome is made in such a way that it's good if you try hard the game, but otherwise it's just a pain in the ass and will ruin any newbie.

Snecko eye is amazing as long as you have some expensive cards and almost no 0 cost cards. It just turns your run into a clown show.

Uh. Byrds, Heart, Book of Stabbing among friends beg to differ.
Sure at low A's you can do whatever but I would need some serious consideration before taking P-stone. Sozu by contrast is almost a no-brainer pick for general purposes.
And calling snecko eye not viable? Not sure what thought process you are using here. It's not good in every deck but that's nothing unique.

Give Philosopher's stone a chance, it`s pretty good as a first boss relic
Sure Byrds hurt, but you`re still better off with that vs plain 3 energy, Hammer/Ectoplam/Crown maybe Dome and, god forbid, Kite

Lelwhut? Fusion Hammer I often take if it's available. If you get the "egg" relics it doesn't matter, and pre-upgraded cards become fairly common on the later acts.

You dissing my Cursed Bell? It's actually OP if you get some of the more harmless curses.

I sometimes take Fusion Hammer over Sozu or Ectoplasm. Had far too many runs, where potions carried me to victory. I value the shop highly in general.
Philosopher's Stone is pretty good since it's buff. Who cares about giving the enemy +1 STR if you can play an extra block per turn or kill 'em faster.

From all the energy relics, Coffee Dripper and the Kite are the only ones i tend to avoid. Too situational most of the time.

Fusion hammer without having a relevant egg is a death sentence in A20.

Cursed Bell will also lose you runs in A20.

Philosopher's stone is great. 1 Free energy with a very minimal trade-off (unless you're Defect vs Birds and don't have electrodynamics).

Coffee Dripper is okay... depending on the strength of your deck. If you can conceivably average -10 HP per Act 2 Elite and -5 HP per hallway fight, Coffee Dripper is actually a pretty decent pickup. Snecko Eye also depends on your deck (you'll want loads of a card draw and high energy high impact cards).

Lul?
Coffee dripper is very good, there are many ways to get your hp back or defend yourself..
Fusion Hammer is good too, just thinck twice before picking an unupgraded card
And if you don't like these two relics try to find a shovel or a gyrya..
And Snecko eye is definitely one of the best boss relic once you understand the game ^^
Songbird Jun 7, 2019 @ 6:58pm
Sneko Eye is almost always the single best boss relic for Ironclad and Defect to see at the end of act 1. With Silent it's more likely to be a whiff since she less need of its benefits, but it's still usually pretty good (I think Silent usually takes pyramid over it unless she already has a WLP and then it's a tough choice).

Fusion Hammer is usually one of the lowest downsides for an energy relic. Coffee Dripper is either really bad or amazing without much of an in-between.
Those are some of the best boss relics in the game (and relics in general tbh). Snecko Eye might actually be the best relic in the game actually unless you are running a 0 cost heavy deck.

Woah...there's really a discussion whether Fusion Hammer is good or bad....
