Server not updating to current version
Friend is trying to get his dedicated server to work, tried redownloading it through SteamCMD from scratch twice now. Followed by a regular update as well. When starting the server, it says it's a beta package.

It never appears in the server browser but connecting directly to the IP tells me that the server IS there (with a password, that part works) but it's the wrong version.

Since I'm not the host here, just putting this out there in case someone recognises the problem.

EDIT: Explanation in my last post.

Nope, he used a fresh download and did not include a beta opt-in.
Good to know how to opt out without a new download though, that might come in handy some day.

He doesn't have to redownload, he just have validate it to update it in steamcmd.
He using linux? If he using linux then he probably delete it wrong unless he really familiar with linux.

Okay, so even though he never opted into any sort of beta thing when downloading/updating the server, manually opting out like Arc said actually worked.

So if anyone else is being told by the game that their server isn't the right version, try opting out even if you never opted in during download or update of the DS.

When I login to steamCMD and rum -beta none I get command not found -beta
I tried in "-beta none" same error command not found. I must be in the wrong context in the command window. Does this command -beta none go in the bat to start the server? Thanks in advance for you help.
