Can't customize cosmetics.
Ever since the nightfall update I haven't been able to change my guys outfit at all. I will click the little pencil icon to edit my preset and it only gives me the option to change the preset name. I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem, but it annoys me far more than it should. I've reinstalled the game and verified the files. Nothing helps.

LOL, uhhh. Not sure what to tell you, it's only to change the preset name, it used to be able to change one item at a time on a preset outfit, but not anymore. That was a fairly long ago. Just gotta go through and click on store bought cosmetics manually to get it (buy or equip if you own it), and make the outfit from scratch, then new after making a preset.

Yeah, it's quite unfortunate, but it is how it is.

I'm not talking about entire outfits. I can't even change my hat if I want to. I can't change anything on my guy whatsoever.

To be specific, does this involve clicking of the pencil or no? Just regular editing of the character without touching the presets on the side and/or pencil entirely? Pencil is pretty much name changing a preset (am aware you know this, but just double-checking to ensure this will help narrow it).

If it is outside of the pencil problem, chances are it's definitely outside anything I can do to help.

There are a few factors I would think of to solve the issue, trying to change the character's gender on security forces to see if that helps or fixes it, and/or B is it secluded to one faction or both?

do you mean you can't edit cosmetic presets? it has been like that since the game launched i think. giles is right about the pencil function only to rename presets.

if you want to edit a preset you have to

1. load preset
2. delete current selected preset
3. edit cosmetics
4. save/create new preset (click + icon)

i dont bother naming my presets anymore because every time i want to edit my outfit you have to retype the name. any other game you click on edit or just change cosmetics you want then save it but this is sandstorm lol.
