I like the L85A2 if i'm Security and I've recently started using the Alpha AK as Insurgent. Both get set to semi-auto for control.
Ronin quote?
For insurgents and killing potential, the SVD and FAL EASILY take number 1 spots due to their ability to 1-tap most targets at most ranges.
The Shotguns are also considered rather top-tier for single-target fighting as long as you got the aim to back it up.
For Security, the MK14 EBR is a nice option for marksmen that like to get into a scrap. The G3 has decent damage, and can 1-tap no-armors, while the MK18 has very controllable recoil, and good ironsights IMO. Almost forgot the L85 on Advisors. It fires a bit slower than the other ARs, but has pretty much excellent by the book stats, making it a great all-round weapon.
MK14 EBR /SVD=> laazzer beam mostly 1 shoot kill + distance
L85A2/M4A1/MP7=> At recoil patern (full auto), MK18 is great too but need 1bullet more to HeavyArmor kill
Shootguns + flahete => most cry weapon at forum ;) but its true, 1 hit/kill in CQC, mostly time same at great distances
ATTACHMENTS:
biger magazine/drum magazine- love it, more ammo, less reloading time
foregrip- reduce recoil to UP. Almost a MUST in all guns
Optic 1.5 - imho best optic in game, great balance betwen x1-x2 (can ♥♥♥♥♥ zoom it)
compesator- in PvP is nice, hide our flash from rifle and reduce spread
supresor- A MUST in CO OP, its only way to stop broken AI wallhacking :/
For breacher, both shotguns are practically the same. They are really powerful and work wonders with flechette rounds. I'll usually also run C4 (for bringing down objectives or setting traps) or grenades (for clearing out rooms or chokepoints).
As for attatchments (generic answer incoming) it really comes down to how you play with your weapon.
-Grip help initial vertical recoil so bursts can be viable but loses it's recoil reduction when fired full auto (there's a few videos on this tested if you wanna see for yourself before someone replies "THAT'S A LIE REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!") personally i think it works best with the higher recoil battle rifles than assault rifles or SMGs, but that's down to how well you can control recoil.
-Compensator help reduce horizontal recoil a noticable bit which is good for firing on the move since most of your horizontal recoil is only noticable when you're moving so UZI, MP7, M4, AK74 all do well with these i find.
-Flash hider it well... hides your flash. Helps keep sight of target when firing full auto and keep u hidden a bit better from enemies in PVP not a bad pick.
-Extended mags are always nice but I tend to chose these over light carrier to have a few extra bullets while gaining the speed advantage of not having a carrier.
-Supressors i don't find as useful since people can hear your shots still (or at least i do) when you're firing so kinda defeats the purpose of using it over the flash hider. I can't confirm what raziel said about suppressors in COOP even tho that's what i mainly play so I'll have to test that out.
-Optics are personal preference, chose the one you perform best with rly.
Hope this helped a bit, see you in game :)
If I know I'm playing up close and personal I like the akm with drum mag, compensator, front grip and red dot or 1.5x.
As for the rest the Beretta, compensator, mag and quick draw is must! Have it on a close key so you can tap it when you hear that dreaded klick ... as 17 enemy troops stare at you down their barrels. 🤪
Other than that I go light armour, light mag pack and a grenade. Less and you'll be out of ammo too soon and more is only needed if you've a very happy trigger finger and just like putting lead into the sky.
Anyway, these days I've switched to using the MK14 EBR. Great gun, good penetration. Always stick to semi-auto, even in CQC. Peek round corner, tap tap etc. When insurgents I often like grabbing the Uzi with drum mag and having some fun :)
For rate of fire, VHS, MP5.
For a little of both, Alpha AK, AK74, M4A1.
I’ve made a guide comparing weapons and the advantages and disadvantages are between them:

I prefer simplicity and balance.
The AKM is definitely the number one weapon for me in this game. It causes a decent amount of damage, its firerate is fast enough and its recoil is right in the middle and easily reduced by upgrades.
I had my best matches using just an AKM without any upgrades, 1-2 handgrenades and a light backpack and that is it.
But I am aware that all this is a matter of preference. But for me it is the AKM.
If I really want something lighter and more " modern " I usually play the M4, but this is quite rare.
As a sidearm I prefer both 45. cal pistols but especially the M1911 with an extended mag and a quick draw upgrade.
QBZ-03+LR scope is good for long range engagements right now.
