1 shot or double tap anything to kill and singelshot is still the best
But where are the shotgun comparisons? jk
And this probably isn't one you're going to like.
I'm done playing the game for now. Everyone I know has moved on and I only hopped on for coop every so often. Even that has gone stale and the game no longer feels rewarding or fun for me.
I loved playing the game competitively when that was a thing and knew many of the DGL players who might still play from time to time.
I'm glad NWI finally brought TDM back after forever, but it's obviously just a patch-in with no spawn balance or rework. It would've been a great mode to showcase these weapons. I could have done the same with Domination now, but again, I had no desire and less time these past few months.
Thanks everyone for dropping by and supporting the guide and videos! I'll keep them all up and available. If something drastic does happen or if I find the urge to play this game again, I may come back to this guide. Otherwise, I don't plan to make any changes to the guide at this time.
Hey all! Thanks for all the support and interest in this guide!
I still plan to update this guide and cover the new weapons, but it's the time of the year with all the holidays. So with that in mind, it will be a bit difficult for me to update this guide for now. I'll try to make some small changes here and there to keep the guide up-to-date.
Thank you AgentHotel for all the contributions and letting me know about these changes! I'll update the stats for the FAL soon.
New video is out! Honey Badger vs AS VAL. This is in the new section with the same name. Including the full article breakdown.
Also working on new thumbnail for this guide as well.
This is a big one, which is why the word is in all caps.
1. There will be a new patch, 1.8 that will include new underbarrel grips as well as renaming the current foregrip attachment.
The current foregrip will still work the same way so all recoil tests done will still be accurate.
The new foregrips will not effect recoil. I would really only need to make 1 video/section covering this instead of re-testing every weapon.
2. There is a bug going on causing some users to get massive frame stutters while playing. This is mainly why I haven't tested the AS VAL, Sterling or other weapons yet. Those will be tested soon(tm) depending on if these stutters occur during recording/testing.
3. The 1.8 update will come with 2 new weapons, the AUG and the FAMAS. I do intend to compare those weapons as well.
4. More optics will be added to the guide as well, but that is low on my list of priorities.
Sorry for this but I did warn ya it'll take a few updates to complete this "Optics Overview" section.
Along with releasing the video today, I also added some information about how a high zoom optic can effect your recoil control. Example of that is mentioned in the video as well.
The first batch of optics I covered in this update are as follows:
Flip-up Sights
1.5x PK-AS
1x Holosight
1x Kobra sight
1x OKP-7
1x MARS
1x MRO
I'm currently working on the new "Optics" section and reviewing each one. I already made a video which will be released sometime later. The video itself will cover the early points of the section and showcase the more common optics in the game, but not every optic.
This is going to be a pretty large section going through each optic in the game, taking screen shots and putting it together for this section. So it will be a work in progress and I'll update it with a few optics at a time.
Also, in case you're not aware, there's a new update coming soon to Sandstorm that will include new weapons, a new map and night maps as well!
So be on the look out for that and I do intend to compare the new weapons and give my opinions on them.
