im sure there more to it XD i mean gameplay wise
For me what I appreciate the most is the artistical/graphical design of the areas (more like landscapes).
I dont know why, but they just feel both realistic and genuine beautiful at the same time, despite the lowish (compared to modern standards) raw quality of the assets.
Unlike something like Witcher 2 or Rise of the Tombraider, which have amazing raw quality but dont depict anything particular beatiful with that.
now thats a intresting insight to waht you see.. i never thought of that XD and so far the story not half bad and at a decent level as ni no kuni 2...maybe slightly better then it since the voice acting when there was parts was kinda.. meh
I love it. As I got places to be at and I'm not being hindered by movement.
Then we have Japanese voices, combat and all the active skills.
But the graphics are subpar at best. Only the characters look good where as the rest look like PS2 era of graphics.
It does though load super fast and runs at a constant 60 FPS for me.
Story is meh and the reasoning from the first main bad guy are just so bad. The people got along well before that person started to do bad things.
I do find though that the characters are a bit too stupid. Every time you decide to run after someone the person walks away and they go "Man he's quick!".
Or they look at the person going away and say "Man he got away from us!", he wouldn't IF you decided to actually after the bloody person.
Or how Adol have trouble remembering stuff from his dreams.
So story is badly done imo.
Overall, the possibility to move fast is extremely fun, especially while jumping around like a bunny everywhere.
Oh, and the combat, of course.
get sick of switching characters tbh and sahad and generic tsun laxia are starting to get annoying.
exploration is fun. battle is fun.
I think the older ys games have better bosses and combat tbh. just felt different.
I like seeing the hq grow but the going back and forth to find people is starting to feel boring and a slog to get new people. legit gameplay wise I have like 5 hours. the progression feels really slow but that's maybe bc I crashed 90000 times
