Carlan...WTF

They are in a survival situation.

He is arrogant, full of himself and does NOTHING but waste oxygen, food, energy and time.

WHY do they even care for that sorry excuse for a human being? Why do they not promptly kick him out and leave him to his own fate?? He contributes NOTHING, he endangers all of them with his behavior!

Yeah the devs did a really good job making the player hate Carlan, and they did this for a reason. I'm not saying more than that.

Don't worry he gets his comeuppance and quite early too.
What you have to worry about is "Dona" with her filler Dreams and cutscenes segments along with the Nun preaching to her precious Sky Wizard that waste a lot of time on top of the raids that always interupt your exploring.....

Yeah the nun isn't that helpful so far either, however at least she helps clearing away obstacles. Also I've passed that point where he dies now and personally I am glad it turned out like that. However the fact that they would even put up with him until that point completely boggles my mind. Not to mention that he got their only boat destroyed. At least now they know what awaits them if they try to get out to sea.

The Nun may become less useless from what i've seen but nothing compares to the "Dona" filler that also likes to crash the game with all the fade aways.....

Ya Carlan serves his purpose at least and rather early at that.
(his stupid actions may have saved others the same fate so he wasn't completely useless
but ya he could have at least helped with moveing stuff but then the game wouldn't be linear as hell when it comes to the order you can explore when lot's of the time a passage blocked is just to finish the last 10% of an area... another thing that holds this game back....)

Dona doesnt have dreams related to her, so I assume your talking about Dana. The part of the story that revolves around her is not filler content.


Most of the castaways aren't useful at first. That's kind of the point tho. Your shipwrecked with all sorts of people, and most people are just going to be useless in a situation like that, outside of the help from society that they are used to having.
Still, most of them do try to be useful in some small, or big way. Carlan's a pretty bad character, but in the end he ends up being useful as well. (even if he's still a bad character)

Yes that ♥♥♥♥ is filler, it keeps interrupting the adventure for stupid Dana banter
(when the game already has huge amounts so people that don't value gameplay as much as "story" go "oh WOW stories!")
that the game could just as easily do without or have just 1 scene of that all condensed right before she is actually introduced to the game, where at 50% progress they could have left her out and not been crashing our games with all the pointless CONSTANT fade aways.
(Danas scenes tho they say "Dona" is EXACTLY like all those fade aways.. Pointless and Excessive)

(they trying to build it up like she some amazing character all of us should care about despite not being Dogi Geis or Adol and add gameplay so we can't just skip the segments with her like that only 2 area first one, when that effort could have been put into adding Dogi and Geis fully playable and much more)


By the way i put clothes on your precious "Duana" so at least she doesn't look like an Etrian hooker in my game. (that was one thing i was able to fix at least)

if they going to add female characters they better be usefull like Sigroon and Mishera that aren't dressed like hookers and can dump arrows and magic as fast as you can pull the trigger.

it's not that i don't like her, its just the constant FORCED stopping my exploring (gameplay) and crashing for literally nothing that goes along with her.
(if they didn't shoehorn her in all the time instead of Geis or Dogi and gave her some clothes i would prob like her more)

What do people like about her? the constant interruptions with slideshow levels of lazy cutscenes and crashes,

Well that's good at least you aren't blinded by her getup (i'm not so sure about the rest tho)
i don't either plus that was an easy fix and if they just added real alternate outfis it wouldn't even matter.
When does her storyline actually start???
Everything was just filler and she is a tree maiden plus there's a new queen so far....
(literally could have told me that in 2 sentances and of course i'm taking into consideration you have to go through it all again every new game+ playthrough...)
Her skills seem fun but why is she so OP compared to Adol did she have 7 games before this too?

What effort? like i said when all these huge cutscenes happen i can put on auto scroll and view the forum since they take up so much of the game, doesn't take that much effort to type up ♥♥♥♥ that effecting the gameplay constantly...

Concerning Dana, I'm up to chapter 4 and yes the story is interesting and I think she's okay, however I really hate that those segments from the past are forced upon you like that. Like I was just exploring an area and barely made it to the end alive just trying to reach another crystal, BOOM Dana segment. Way to ♥♥♥♥ up my bearing on things. Really ♥♥♥♥ design choice in my opinion.
