Cod and cs:go are also MOBA games?

I thought about this when i was in the shower. MOBA means multiplayer online battle arena right? So cod and cs:go are also MOBA games for their pvp part

- MOBA maps use fog of war, thats not used by CSGO and CoD
- MOBA are birdview, CSGO and CoD use FPS (FPS is impossible in MOBA, due to non sens of "tactic" used on MOBA)
- MOBA use tower and others structures support
- most MOBA allow farming ( thats named "noob ♥♥♥♥" in csgo/CoD and non allowed to make progress on fight. at reverse, farming in CoD/CSGO is.. well .. you know, like feed on dota)

- sure.. smoke... so no true sight.. can easily attack the tower without risk to be attacked right
- its not "specific requirement" , most of MOBA use birdview. some use others (awesomenauts use 2D, etc..)
- add sentry turet on CSGO and maybe you right...
- of course, i guess you farm chicken in csgo , you know, for buy snipe in 2 round

Actually, that's the reason why Valve didn't call Dota 2 a MOBA since the term fits in so many genres, so they instead call it 'A'RTS.

oh, right. i didn't think about comparing the games. i just thought about the genre and not what separated each other. but you say FPS is impossible in MOBA then what about smite? sure it doesn't have fog of war but other than that, it has the elements of a MOBA game

MOBA need FoW specially when you can attack ennemy from long range . thats not possible on awesomenauts, you can only attack at small range.
can you imagine dota without FoW ? invoker pic ftw...

MOBA is a term coined by Riot to make LoL more sellable, the prefered, original term for Dota is ARTS, action real time strategy game.
