Bee farming
So I was farming hellquist for a low recharge delay bee at level 50 and I now want to go jump off a cliff

Not the best capacity but the recharge rate is as good as it gets, according to the FANDOM Bee variant chart[borderlands.fandom.com]. What's not to like?

Bring a parachute for jumping off that cliff! :lunar2019smilingpig:

you could try the second set of Treants in the Forest for a better one.

This seems to be the best method, they seem to drop them a lot there.

Like all shields in the game, Bees are a compromise.
Want high capacity? You could end up with a low recharge rate, long delay and poor amp damage.
Want the best amp damage? The other stats could all be bad, or just some of them.
Want low recharge delay? Guess what?

The Bee shield is used for damage, not protection. So the highest amp damage seems to be the most logical thing to go for. The 'perfect' damage Bee has a recharge delay of 6.16 seconds, with recharge rate and capacity about equal - once it does start recharging, it will be full fairly quickly.

Treants in The Forest are a better farm than Hellquist. More of them for starters, but not all can drop them - the first one after the fast travel will not.

5.04 is best recharge delay u can get

Too bad it got heavily nerfed pretty early on. It was completely broken so understandably so. It used to have a delay around 2 seconds and I think they cut the regen rate down tool.

Yeah that recharge delay is amazing. But as others have said, the best place to farm them is the Orc lumberyard in The Forest. Feels like I'm getting a Bee over 50% of the time there, it's one of the easiest legendary farms there, stopped bothering with Hellquist long ago.

I don't actually like the Bee because it encourages you to play defensively, but I always carry one in my backpack in UVHM together with a Lady Fist because that's just such a deadly combo when you need it. Rips through Crystalisks as if they were made of paper, and it's great against some bosses.

The bees from Hunter Hellquest usually don't drop at your level, jump into UVHM and do Tiny Tina's dlc up until the orc camp where you can farm treants at your level.

Nice, but I look for amp damage, the more the better. As a shield, it's about useless, as a damage booster it's very good. Two seconds may feel like it's a long time, but really it's not. I tend to play a try not to get hit, don't accidentally reload type game when I use one (Gaige).

That's a pretty damn good Bee from Hellquist for Lvl 50 and Bees are the best amplify shields in BL2. You can get better Bees that are more suitable for the higher UVHM & Overpowered Levels by farming the Treants in the Forest (Tina DLC) with bonus powers like damage protection from Shock ("Grounded" prefix) or Explosions ("Blast-Proof" prefix). The Bee's an invaluable amplify shield in BL2 for all six playables. The developers did a lot of work to create an even better quality amplify shield for TPS ~ called the Rerouter, I feel it made major improvements to BL2's Bee shields but as I say, Rerouter's for another game. Have fun:steamhappy:

I think the blood fruit treants have a higher chance, that's where I got mine.
Black Hole May 6, 2019 @ 9:54pm
me too just got one earlier in the day from the blood fruit trees, where I tend to get one.

Be interesting how they might change the bee in the next game if they do change it.
I've gotten Bees from each group of Treants. I even had a run where I got 2 bees[www.twitch.tv] from the last groups (orcs and bloodfruit). However, as luck may have it, I have farmed for more than an hour at a time without a single Bee.
