So far i found out:
- Turrets which are placed on a ship which you want to dock to your main ship, are counted to the main ship turrets.
- If the main ship is already equipped with maximum turrets of that specific type, the turrets of the docked ship arent working and you will get a yellow warning on your screen. "Not enough turret slots for all turrets"
- If you have enough turret slots free, the turrets from the docked ships work.
- If you are in a Sektor an mark mark your main ship and by accident also the docked ships ... give an order to fly to a station... the ships will undock.
So sadly my idea with use of the docked ships as extended shooting platform doesnt work in normal mode.
