I need Ogonite to found a ship at a shipyard out of the sudden?

Hi!

Suddenly, I need 500 Ogonite to found a ship at a shipyard, although I haven't opened the barrier yet. So this resource isn't even obtainable at this time. I'm near the barrier, yes. But that was never a problem. I always paid 500 Iron for this. How come? A bug perhaps?

I'm a little bit confused here...

I have to add, that I have mining upgrades (leveled up in a science station) that could obtain Ogonite and Avorion, partly installed into a mining ship of mine. Maybe this was the reason, I don't know, but I removed them from those ships -> sadly, I still have to pay Ogonite to found a ship.

So, I'm stuck here.

If the game is requiring Ogonite to found a ship / station, you must have somewhere around 25 ships / stations.
Every X ships / stations require the next tier material to build a ship / station.
I think it's every 6 ships / stations jumps to the next tier.

Hm, I have 16 ships (two of them were dysfunctional somewhere in space and 3 or 4 formerly pirate ships; now miners, traders and escort ships) and 7 stations. I didn't know that the amount of crafts / stations have influence on the material needed to found ships.

Now... where could I find Ogonite? I'm still too far away to open the barrier (2 artifacts of 8). Hm...

Look around the edge of the barrier for hidden mass sectors. If you can find one of those religious circles the leader can spawn from a higher tier material than your current area. This can allow you to get Ogonite in a small amount.

Though you might be better off finding those old ships you don't use and disassemble them to just remove the Ogonite cost.

Hey, thanks for the hint. I've met several sectors with those religious fanatics, but never thought about to fight them for any good. Didn't seem worth it for me. After a short battle with one of them I got around 14000 Ogonite.
