Mining but cargo empty
I built my first ship with cargo bay and mining laser etc etc. When I approach the asteroid I can mine and I see it getting collected but it does not show up in the cargo space. There is nothing. What's going on?

You can always jump, just not via gates (when out of money). I suggest reading up on some of the mechanics of the game. All ships (including your starting drone) can jump from the sector map. Jump range is limited without upgrades and hyperspace cores (not available until Naonite region).

Selling refined resources is a good way to make money (resources are infinite and sectors respawn given time).

Super large plain asteroids are “Claimable Asteroids.” They sell for close to $80k to a faction you are in good relations with (or sell for little money but good reputation gains to a faction you have bad relations with).

There are pirate raids fairly often. All you need to do is get in a single hit for it to count and the faction will give you “reward” money and turret/upgrade for helping.

Are you using R-Mining turrets?
Standard mining turrets refine on the fly and go directly to your inventory not the cargo bay.

ordinary mining turrets instantly refine on mining, so....no they shouldnt, and as stated R-mining lasers make them ore, not instantly refined

Omg.. So how can I sell the ore then to make some cash at the beginning?

or rather, What do I have to do so the ore shows up in my cargo so I can trade it?

You can’t sell the unrefined ore.

The refined stuff you can sell at a resource depot. No need to make it appear in your cargo hold.

But when I dock at the depot I can't see my own inventory to sell. Not in the ship, I only see my ore in the build menu.

At the refinery, one of the menu choices allows you to buy refined ore. In there is a tab at the top that will switch between buying and selling.

Check all the options in the menu if you're not familiar with where I'm talking about. Trade goods is not what you are looking for.

Thank you. What would you recommend to be the first way to make some money? I jumped some gates and now I'm already out of money and can't jump

Now I finally get it. the item does not appear in the station system but only in my personal. Not very logic but yeah I get it now.
