XSTN-K II
Is this random? I used 3 legendary turrets at a research station and didn't get the XSTN-K II. I never tried this before. Is it a percentage chance, so I only had a 60% chance using 3 and should have used 5 for a 100% chance?

Three subsystems, not turrets. Turrets just reroll a new turret from the supplied turrets. Can't be other artifacts, either; has to be normal legendary subsystems.

oh my bad, thanks. I even read that and forgot.
You can use ONE artifact and two other subsystems. So I often farm the AI in order to have lots of extra XSTN-VI in order to feed them into the chipper-shredder.

Easier to farm Exodus.

Leave a ship at the beacon and another at the end sector. Just swap between them as often as you want.

I haven't been able to get that 1. An alliance member got it so I'm presuming I can't use the same location even though that's the only pair of coordinates I have. I tried, and the beacon at the first x, y coordinate never appears and going to the corner sector Exodus location has no effect.

You can use it, you just need one beacon to start the quest and an alliance ship you can switch to in the final sector to complete the quest.

I farmed it with an alliance after the 2.0 update so it shouldn't have changed too much.
AI drops good turrets for trinium/xanion, which is another reason why I like farming it.

If you're short on naonite (somehow??) you can also salvage it, which gives even more decent turrets.

NB: before someone goes "lol bruh, you said AI drops the best turrets in the game, hurr durr, that's not true". (A) no I didn't and (B) do better.

The turrets the AI drops are useful for equipping stations (the cannons) and for your secondary ships of the line, if you need to raise your average DPS/slot up to ~100. If your DPS/slot is already over 9000 then of course you're not going to get any benefit.

If you already have more good guns than you know what to do with, then of course you don't need to farm mid-game bosses. It's a sandbox. Be flexible.

Just arrived in the Xanion area. Money's easy. Have roughly 1 billion. I buy a ton of blue (and higher) turrets and subsystems from the equipment stations regardless of quality or type or cost, then combine those at the research stations. Keep the best for my main ship and equip the rest of the fleet with the rest.
