Turret factory Player owned or AI????

Should I build my own turret factory? Im trying to figure out if theres an advantage to building my own or just using an AI owned station. Can I upgrade my own blueprints to be better?

It's my understanding that the turrets that can be built at a turret factory are only generated once, when it's built. If you only ever plan to use blueprints, you'll be fine with AI built. But if you wanna fish for a specific turret type, then you might wanna build it yourself.

Yes. You can refresh the build list in your own factory, allowing turrets with quality far better than AI generated ones.

OK built a turret factory and got the weapon blueprints i wanted. Went to craft the weapons and I CANT upgrade them.

There's no such thing that is "upgrade" in this game. Once you build(or pick up) a item, it is fixed as it is.
If you are talking about tech level, you can move your factory to somewhere with higher tech level (aka closer to the galactic core) and refresh the build list to find better turrets.

I think he meant that ''up arrow'' you can click in AI turret factories which you can improve the turret you are making by using more materials. In player owned you cant do that.

Build turret factory in same sector randomize only red type turret. All other turret is same.
Looks like fishing on every sector and got diferrent better modifer for exc turret. Build turret tech closer galactic center is >50. But factory cant reproduce >50 teh blueprint.

be aware that you cannot produce tech level 51 and 52 turrets. i build my turret factory @ 1,15 to get the best level 50's
