Cant change any resolution or window mode. Error wglMakeCurrent()
Launching the game opens in windowed 1280p
Keep getting the error wglMakeCurrent() and game crashing on launch.
When trying to change the window mode to either fullscreen or borderless
Or when trying to change the resolution...
Tried changing ini file as well as editing compatibility options on exe.

Anyone got a fix? Going to refund this if I can't get it working within the next hour or so.

not sure if would help or not, always told me to run it through steam "verify file integrity" first and see if any results. Sure somebody else will pipe in with something else.

Validated files and nothing missing/required.

I've narrowed it down entirely to being a resolution issue.

Game incorrectly registers native resolution at 720p. (Im on 1080p 120hz)
When changing to fullscreen, windowed or borderless it changes to resolution to the correct 1080p setting but still getting the "wglMakeCurrent(): The handle is invalid." error.

The "Fix" people keep posting for Avorion issues is to revert GPU drivers but this is a joke and nobody should ever revert drivers for a single game... That's like saying you need a new engine to manage having 4 flat tires...

Was looking forward to playing this game =/

Seems like it's a dev issue. "wglMakeCurrent(): " Will always return NULL if it is called before the system registers the change... Real shame as me an 4 friends are going to refund this by midnight if we can't find a work around.

That or the devs never put anything in the game to handle different pixel formats..

UPDATE:

I can confirm this problem is only happening for 1920x1080 resolution.

Another issue is happening when changing to fullscreen. Black/White screen. Menu music plays and i can mouse over menu items (Hear the clicking sound) but no visuals.
