Configure a cargo bay

I just pirated a cargo ship and it dropped boxes, but it just says my cargo bay isnt configured to pick up that stuff. How do I configure it?

Go into your cargo management screen ("p" and then go to the cargo tab). Then look near the top for some icons with selection boxes. The first 3 are selected by default and the last 3 are not selected. Change these to control what you pick up.
