A question about the "Sell Trash" button at Equipment Vendors.

So I went to the nearest Equipment dock and they had some interesting wares. I bought them, and I remembered that I had some turrets I marked as trash. I double checked and it was around 10-15 turrets I had marked, but when I clicked "Sell Trash" a giant wave of text covered the bottom left of my screen saying "Sold item for x Credits" over thirty times. Does "Sell Trash" actually sell marked items or discard the weakest turrets available?

It should only sell items marked as trash (trashcan). Maybe you had some systems marked as well?

No, when I looked all of my systems were there. The only icons that appeared were turrets (in the few seconds that I could see the right-side notifications). In fact I never go into the System Upgrades section of the inventory, only the UI that appears when editing your ships logistics (Crew, Torpedoes, etc).

There is also the possibility that you had many identical turrets, in which case they stack. In this case you still only mark 1 icon as trash, but each item in the stack may be shown as a seperate sale.

Perhaps, as I selected a stack of 16 Common iron chainguns among the others I had marked, but what I saw was some unique and rare turrets too. When I checked my inventory, none of my important ones that I was saving for a second combat ship were missing, yet still it said I had sold something of blue and green tiers.

why would you trash them instead of researching with them?

I haven't gotten that far into the game. I did not even know there was such a thing as researching.

Don't worry about it. Also, selling turrets and systems is very good money in the early game ;)
