How to remove Turret Design

How the ♥♥♥♥ do i remove a turret design? I got a ship from the workshop and it has turret designs in all the turret blocks, but I cant find a way to remove them.

Every type of turret i'm trying to place are being rescaled to the design, even really small turrets, and for some reason it doesn't let me place it.

I believe it's unique to the turret base blocks. Remove and replace them might fix it

delete the base, replace it with a fresh one from the main piece menu, that works. Or toggle the turret design to coax and then back, that also resets it to the default. Turret placement trouble can be a too-coarse placement grid, try reducing it to 0.1 or even lower.

the turret customization stuff is tricky, but there's definitely a few ways to manipulate it. Removing the block entirely works, but you can also change the scale of the turret designs on the right somewhere after entering the turret customizer. It's taken me a bit but you can find a solution or weird work around to fix most of the quirks in the turret block stuff.
