Trading System not giving the right info?
I used to use the blue one, looking at the deals tab, and that was never wrong. But ever since I got the Salesman Trading System (orange) I've come to find that the "stock" on the sell to stations times ends up being wrong 9/10 times. I've lost millions of credits because of this.

What's going on with the trading system? I know there's a dynamic supply and demand system, so it's always going to be off by a few numbers by the time I get there, but there's no way they can be maxing out their stock in just a few minutes! Even after I fly to that station and can't sell anything, I'll look at the trading system again and it still says they "want" that item....the same amount before I started the trip. But they don't.

Oddly enough, the deal tab doesn't even reflect the "buy to" and "sell to" tabs, but on the blue trading system, it always did, despite being only one sector.

(And no, I'm not confusing the S, M, and L factories, even the normal stations are doing this. I'm clicking the guide button from the trading system every time to make sure I'm going to the right place.)

Is there a ship docking as you go to sell. That has screwed me many a time when they sell a large supply before i get there

No, but that sounds like the natural course of the game.

I'm flat out talking about the trading system flat out lying. "Wants 3000" doesn't mean zero, like it's a bug or something that's never been fixed.

Yes, the prize you see first is often not the correct prize you can buy / sell for.

Okay, this is getting frustrating. I've already made this post once with no one answering, so I removed it and made this one and shortened it. But all I'm getting are answers to questions I never asked. I don't think anyone is understanding the point I'm trying to get across.

I'm not talking about prices. I am talking about STOCK. As in, the amount of goods a station is willing to buy.

The prices and stock fluctuate. That's a given; any game that deals with a dynamic economy and trading system does this. But unless you're taking you're sweet old time getting to the stations to buy and sell, the station shouldn't be getting MAXIMUM STOCK in less than a minute!

And even if it did, why isn't the trading system updating to reflect that? I can look at the deals tab which tells me that X station "wants" 3000 potatoes or whatever, so I'll get the potatoes, go the station "buying" them to find out they have 7000/7000, or 10,000/10,000, whatever the number is, it's the max. I'll look at the trading system's "deals" tab at this point to STILL see that the station wants 3000 potatoes....according to the trading system.

Unless I don't check the STOCK, under the SELL TO tab, (I mean, why should I? I got the better/Salesman trading systems so I don't have to) I am often buying something to find out that the station is in fact taking NO ITEMS when I get there (because their stock is FULL) when the DEALS TAB just told me it WAS less than a minute ago, and it STILL says they're taking it.

Simply put, the WANTS field does not match up with how much they are taking in the SELL TO tab, that's the only way I can tell that the deal tab is, for lack of a better term, "telling the truth." Of course, this is only helpful for the current sector I'm in, so it's not exactly a saving grace. Sometimes I'll be able to sell like it says I can, but more often than not, the info is wrong.

It's like telling someone a store is closed but he doesn't believe you because Google says they're open, with the sign that says CLOSED right in front of him.

Oddly enough, I never had this problem with the blue trading system, (1 sector only) but rather this is a problem coming with the orange system.

Also, this is vanilla, no mods. So am I missing something?
