Black Markets and Alliances
Playing some multiplayer Avorion and formed an Alliance with my friends. Progressed far enough with the Black Market missions to actually get access to a Black Market. However, when I try to use the market in an Alliance ship, it won't serve me because there are 'too many eye and ears'.

Is this working as intended?

In some respects, an Alliance is like another character.
So, from that standpoint, when you arrive in your Alliance ship - the game no longer views you as you.

Thanks for the answer, that makes more sense now. Doesn't stop it from being a stupid design choice but at least I know that it isn't a bug.

Yeah, I'm playing co-op and this was a little bit of a strange decision, moving resources over to trade is tedious.

Actually, this is a serious bug. You can follow the black market quest line: Izzy gives you a token to get black market access, but then you can't continue the mission because there are "too many eyes and ears". If you then complete the mission individually, the quest is stuck.

Any mods to fix these issues? Otherwise black markets are completely useless in my playthroughs as I only play multiplayer and you can't take an alliance ship out of an alliance, therefor can never use the black markets...

It'd be great if the developers could take a second look at this, as a co-op only player I still feel like this DLC was wasted money since I can't even access it. :(

Could you explain this a bit more? What gets stuck? I'm looking at the DLC but I also play mainly MP. If I have to use a personal ship to beat the quest chain, that I can do, but if there is simply no way be in an alliance and complete the DLC quest chain I may as well save myself the $6.

was curious if this was ever changed at all?

Black Market isn't the only thing that's broken by alliances. There are a bunch of tutorial missions that are broken by it too. Warrax is correct - the alliances are essentially treated as another player / faction, and sometimes they can be a bit of a headache to program around when creating mods.

I highly doubt it.

Easy way around this is to just jump out of your craft, and trade with the shuttle. You just need to grab the money from alliance bank if you have everything there, but that doesn't take long
